I agree we need more possible alternatives, for the process of taking action and for more of a choice. That's great place to grow up too.Porkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00604351052444947490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051574527441977124.post-79494419322435097552013-04-21T09:41:02.492-05:002013-04-21T09:41:02.492-05:00Thanks for stopping by Jason. Soleri's vision ...Thanks for stopping by Jason. Soleri's vision definitely changes one's sense of what is possible, which as far as I am concerned is really critical these days. People need to see visions of possible alternatives.Tallgeesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16045006122540505779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051574527441977124.post-34947984941989957302013-04-20T20:46:53.724-05:002013-04-20T20:46:53.724-05:00I first found Soleri in the immensity that is know...I first found Soleri in the immensity that is known as Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon. Amazingly 'City in the Image of Man' was the only book I left with that day after sifting through that city block worth of a store. It still forms in my mind the clearest ideas I can point people to when I want them to understand my ideas of furthering city density and an alternate less stratified metropolis. <br /> Jason Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03658806785597764284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051574527441977124.post-30252397248494534782013-04-19T15:25:03.335-05:002013-04-19T15:25:03.335-05:00Thanks for stopping by, Victor! It has seen good use at the gaming table.Tallgeesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16045006122540505779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7051574527441977124.post-9929777809816271862013-04-19T14:56:29.388-05:002013-04-19T14:56:29.388-05:00Very interesting - as well as sad to discover Sole...Very interesting - as well as sad to discover Soleri has passed away. I purchased a copy of "The City in the Image of Man" a VERY long time ago, and was fascinated with what Soleri envisioned as a different way to live. Thank you!Victor Raymondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05928494560036528653noreply@blogger.com
